Cloning a campaign

If you are hosting multiple events throughout the year, our cloning feature can be a time-saving solution. You can easily reuse pre-designed image templates, themes, and other settings such as destination URL, channels, and post suggestions from previous campaigns in your Gleanin account.

It's important to note that cloning does not copy event-specific details like speakers, sessions, and exhibitors. Any changes or actions you make will be applied to all campaigns within that event. Avoid deleting any existing data, as this will remove it from other campaigns associated with the event.

Quick clone

If you want to clone a campaign within the same event with the same settings, you can use quick cloning.

  1. Hover over the campaign that you would like to clone.
  2. Click on the green plus icon.
  3. Choose the New campaign name.
  4. Click Clone.

If you want to clone an existing campaign to a new event, or only include the image templates without cloning the settings you can use the new campaign wizard.

  1. Go to the Event where you want to create a cloned campaign.
  2. Click on Campaigns on the left-hand side menu.
  3. Choose the Create a Campaign button
  4. On the Template selection screen, choose Clone template from existing campaign
  5. On the modal, choose which event & campaign you would like to clone the campaign from using the dropdown menu.
  6. You will see the preview of assets to confirm that it is the correct campaign.
  7. By selecting I would like all campaign settings to be included in clone, you will duplicate all the campaign settings together with image templates, and if you choose not to, you will only move the image templates across.
  8. Rename the campaign.
  9. Click on the Clone button.

If you have cloned all the settings and image templates, please remember to review the Destination URL, event title and channel & post suggestions, as they will be exactly the same as in the campaign you have been cloning from.

If you have chosen to clone only image templates, you will be taken to the campaign setup screen where you will need to set up all the settings from scratch.
