Instagram templates

If you are going to use Instagram as a sharing channel and want to offer your stakeholders a variety of Instagram templates, including square and story formats, you need to enable these options in the dashboard's channel section.

It's important to note that our system does not automatically resize or crop landscape images for square formats, or vice versa, therefore, please ensure that you upload background images in the specified ratios and sizes detailed below.

When creating a new theme, both square and story templates are activated by default. However, you have the flexibility to choose which templates to make available to your stakeholders by deselecting them in the Channels section of the dashboard. Please remember that when Instagram is included as a sharing option, you must have at least one template selected.

1:1 template

This template serves as the default option for Instagram, and it is automatically activated in the channel section of the platform. It is essential to upload your background image in a 1:1 aspect ratio with dimensions of 1040 x 1040 pixels.

16:9 template

The Instagram Story template will be automatically enabled when you create a new theme. Be sure to upload your background image in a 16:9 aspect ratio, with dimensions of 1080 x 1920 pixels.

For existing campaigns, you must first enable the Instagram Story option in the Channels section of the dashboard. Additionally, you will need to create a new theme and select the story option to use this template.

4:5 grid preview

For Instagram's 4:5 aspect ratio, we have adjusted the default positioning of elements on the square templates to ensure that nothing is cut off in the preview.

To view how your square template will appear in the 4:5 grid ratio, select the corresponding option in the template editor (available for speaker and exhibitor campaigns only).
