How can I incentivise attendees to advocate using Gleanin?

Incentivising individuals with rewards for advocating can be challenging on a basic Gleanin subscription since it doesn't collect any personal data. However, an alternative approach is to offer a donation to an industry charity for every referral made using the Gleanin referral tool.

This way, you don't need to know the specific attendee who shared, but Gleanin can provide you with the information that an attendee has shared.

This strategy may be more effective among a senior audience who may be more motivated to support an industry charity rather than win a prize.

For Pro subscribers, offering incentives of any kind is a simpler process. By using our Advanced Reporting and adding the script to your registration confirmation page, a unique attendee code can be provided to us by your registration provider, which allows us to report the unique attendee ID alongside each "attendee" share and include it in your "conversion IDs" download. You can find more detailed instructions on how to do this here

Even though Gleanin doesn't collect personal data, we can still provide you with information on which attendees have advocated for your event based on their unique attendee ID (as assigned to them during your registration process). This way, you can personally incentivise and reward those attendees who have actively advocated on your behalf.

Please keep in mind that if you are sending the social share tool link to attendees via email and you want to track who has shared it, you will need to add a unique identifier to the link. You can find guidance on how to do this here.
