Why are my LinkedIn posts appearing smaller?

LinkedIn has recently rolled out some changes to their platform which impact how preview images appear in the feed and this affects the content shared via Gleanin.

When a user shares a link organically, the preview image has now been significantly reduced to a 360 x 640 pixel thumbnail. See example below.

LinkedIn have shared an article about changes to their platform, here.

For Gleanin:

Whilst these changes are out of our control, we understand that this will impact how your content is displayed.

We have now implemented a solution to this and you can find more details here

Recommendations:

Here are a few tips to ensure your content continues to capture the attention of readers on LinkedIn.

  • Images: Design preview images with the new thumbnail size in mind. We suggest reducing the volume of text displayed in the image.
  • Metadata and post text: Make full use of the metadata text that is displayed to the right-hand side of the image.
